The City of Trenton is proposing to sell off an estimated 460 miles of water pipes, water towers, and other components which make up the distribution system for water sold to customers outside of the city limits.

Under the plan, the city would retain the water treatment facilities, the reservoir, the transmission system (pipes, etc.) and customers within the city limits.
